For those who want more than a viewpoint and a sunrise, the Jeep & ATV Combo Adventure delivers a full day of back-to-back adrenaline across two of Mount Batur’s most extreme terrains. Start above the volcano with a 4×4 jeep sunrise tour, then shift into low gear on a 1.5-hour ATV quad bike session across the black lava fields and highland trails below. Two vehicles, two experiences, one unforgettable day.

The morning follows our signature jeep route — predawn hotel pickup, a highland drive to the volcano, and a 4×4 ascent to the sunrise viewpoint as the sky begins to lighten. Breakfast is served at the top while the sun rises over Lake Batur. The jeep then navigates across the lava terrain before descending to the valley, where the ATV stage begins.

The transition between jeep and ATV marks a clear shift in the nature of the adventure. Where the jeep puts a driver between you and the terrain, the ATV places you directly on it. You feel every contour of the lava rock through the handlebars, every dip in the track through your core. Your guide leads a small group across trails that wind through black sand valleys, along the edges of old lava flows, and up inclines with views back toward the volcano. It is physical, loud, and completely exhilarating.

After the ATV session, hot showers and a full Indonesian buffet lunch bring the adrenaline level back to earth. The meal is a generous spread of local dishes — rice, sate, tempeh, vegetables, fresh fruit — served at a partner restaurant with views of the highland landscape. Most guests leave the table feeling that the combination of physical activity and good food has made for one of the best days of their Bali trip.

No prior ATV experience is required. Your guide provides thorough instruction before departure, and the route is carefully managed for safety throughout. The minimum age is typically 13–16 years, making this tour appropriate for adventurous teenagers as well as adults.
